Albendazole works on parasites (worms) and their larvae, preventing the absorption of sugars (Glucose), so that the worm loses energy and dies. It also works on parasite eggs. Albendazole is a drug used in treatments of diseases caused by parasites (worms), such as: Human pinworm infection (Helictotrichon) Duodenal hookworm infection (ancylostomiasis) American hookworm infection PWN tract infection Infected with Ascaris human (ascariasis) Infecting human whipworms Tapeworm infection (Taeniasis).
