Seeds used orally, absorbing water strongly swell, increase the volume of intestinal contents, which increases peristalsis and facilitates defecation; they also protect the gastrointestinal mucosa. Used in constipation and hyperactivity in the large intestine, also in diarrhea. The raw material is part of numerous herbal mixtures with mild laxative and anti-diarrhea effects, as well as in slimming diets.   WHEN TO USE?
